Creating a Legacy
REAP was conceptualized in early 2014 and established by four founders, Essen Otu, Tyrone Benson, Chuck Kelly, and Terry Love, as a collaborative fund at the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) in May of 2014. After a generous match from ACF, REAP established the REAP Endowment Fund in September of 2016.
Today, REAP’s assets exceed $60k and membership has grown to more than thirty committed, Black, male philanthropist. With members encompassing an impressive spectrum of industries, generations, and varying income levels, REAP continues to be the premier philanthropic outlet for Black men in Phoenix.
While REAP's mission has remained focused on providing Black men with a mechanism for community investment through strategic philanthropy, our vision is to continue to create a new expectation of giving among Black men.
